SOLID STATE STEREO RECEIVER (1982)
After servicing this unit only then can you appreciate the sound this unit has to offer. After listening to several of the other top vintage Marantz units I’d have to say this may be one of my favorite sounding units. Original manual will be included.
Most all electrolytic capacitors were replaced. Film capacitors were used in signal paths where possible. This is truly a nice sounding unit by Marantz. It’s a rare unit in our area so we wanted to give it some extra attention for the next owner.
The tuner has excellent reception (FM Dipole not included). Dual Gate MOSFET front end. Ceramic IF Filters and a phase locked loop multiplex decoder. Phono section also sounds very good.
Tuner was professionally aligned for lowest distortion and best channel separation. The receiver has some dust and could use further cleaning. All switches and controls were cleaned but the 80s receivers could use additional cleaning if they are not being used. This unit has nicks, marks or scratches. Front right corner shows a small ding.
